HERITAGE OPEN DAYS 2018
Heritage Open Days takes place over two weekends this year (6-9 and 13-16 September. The Forum is hosting three events:
Thursday 6 September (18.00): Stadium MK - Access All Areas : Behind the scenes tour with MKDons Chairman Pete Winkleman and Mike trice of Populous (the stadium's architect) NOW FULLY BOOKED
Saturday 8 September (11.00): Conniburrow Walkabout: A walk around the gridsquare with Tim Skelton to look at the way that the design of houses and estate layouts evolved as development progressed as well as more recent community initiatives. Meet at Southward School, Conniburrow Boulevard, MK14 7AR. Organised jointly with On the Verge. Saturday 15 September (14.00): Much More Than Homeworld: A Walk Around Bradwell Common: By the late 1970s the development of MK was hitting its stride and Bradwell Common shows how the designs of MKDC's own architects were blended with this of external architects with an international reputation. Join Tim Skelton on a walk around the gridsquare that will visit theses schemes as well as the wonderful Post Modern Summerfield School and, of course, the Homeworld 81 Exhibition Village.
